Once upon a time, there was a village in the land of Karo named Kawar village.[1] The village is very fertile and surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.[1] One day, the villagers held a traditional event as a form of gratitude for the people's abundant harvest.[1] All the villagers attended the event, but there was a grandmother who did not come to the event.[1] This grandmother was unable to attend the event due to her weakened body condition.[1] The grandmother apparently hasn't eaten all day so she doesn't have the energy to even walk.[1] Grandmother looked at her window and was surprised to see her son and his family walking to the traditional event.[1] The grandmother hopes that her son will stop by her house and invite her to the event.[1] However, the boy and his family did not stop by; they continue to walk towards the traditional event.[1] Grandma felt sad and she lay down crying because no one was paying attention to her.[1] When the traditional event was over, the child just remembered his mother.[1] He also asked his wife to pack food to give to his mother. His wife wrapped the food and then told her son to bring the food.[1] The grandmother was surprised and happy when her grandson came to bring food.[1] However, the joy did not last long when the grandmother found out that the contents of the package were just leftovers from a traditional event.[1] The grandmother did not know that the one who ate the food was the granddaughter of the grandmother. The grandmother also said a prayer to God.[1] He hopes that God will give him a lesson in accordance with his son's disobedience.[1] Moments later there was an earthquake, lightning struck the ground, and it rained non-stop.[1] The rain fell so hard that in an instant the village of Kawar was submerged and turned into a crater.[1] The crater was later named as Lake Lau Kawar.
